Inspiration for the Beach Glass Collection

Summer 2021 marked the first trip I’d made to the Lowcountry in several years. I never meant to stay away that long and I think for that reason it was especially sweet. There’s something about it - the beaches and surrounding marshland- a magic, heady brew of life brewing both visibly and under the surface, and it’s a completely enveloping feeling, to feel that small but at the same time, held deeply by the Earth’s rewards.

I hope that someday, I can paint as well as the Lowcountry does. I hope and aspire to reflect to you something beautiful, while hinting at the magic underneath, like the Lowcountry does for me.
